What this site collects
The website address you ask us to scan, and what the page at that address contained when we read it. We fetch the page the way a search engine does and keep an extract of what it said.
Your email address, if you give it to see the full report. It is stored with the exact sentence you agreed to and the moment you agreed, because that sentence is what makes holding the address lawful.
Your answers to the five questions, if you answer any of them. They are your words about your business and are kept with the scan they belong to.
If you send an enquiry through a form, whatever you typed into it, again with the consent wording you were shown.
What we do with it
We use the scan to produce your report, and the email address to send you a copy of it and to reply to you about your website.
We do not sell it, and we do not use it to advertise to you.
Your answers are read by a person. That is the point of asking: a scan reads a page and cannot read a business.
How long it is kept
A scan and anything attached to it is deleted 90 days after it was taken. That is set in the software, not in a policy somebody has to remember.
An enquiry is kept until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it to answer you.
Who else processes it
The database is Supabase, in London. The site runs on Vercel, and its server-side code is pinned to London too. Email is sent by Resend, which processes in the United States.
So your information is stored and processed in the United Kingdom, and email is the one routine exception: your report and any reply travel through a United States provider.
This was not always true of the server-side code. Until 24.08.2026 no region was set, so requests arriving in London were processed in Washington DC. We found it, pinned it to London, and are telling you rather than quietly correcting the sentence.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and carries no third-party analytics or advertising.
Signing in to the platform sets a session cookie, which is what keeps you signed in. There is nothing to consent to on the marketing pages because nothing is being set.
What you can ask for
A copy of what we hold about you, a correction, or deletion. Email hello@aledparry.com and it will be done.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.
